About these terms
These terms form part of the agreement between you and The Therapy Clinic when you book or receive a clinic service. They also apply to use of the website, booking system and client portal.
Any treatment-specific information, pricing, deposit requirement, cancellation notice or important booking condition shown during the booking process also forms part of the terms for that appointment.
Bookings and appointments
Appointments are subject to availability and may be booked online, by the clinic or through another agreed contact method. A booking is only secured once any required confirmation or deposit has been completed.
Please check the service, date, time and contact details before confirming. The clinic may contact you where information is missing or where a consultation is required before treatment. If you opt in to transactional SMS, appointment confirmations, changes or reminders may also be sent to the mobile number you provide.
Treatment suitability and client information
A confirmed appointment does not guarantee that a treatment will be appropriate. The clinic may ask about health, medical history, medication, pregnancy, surgery, symptoms or recovery before or during the appointment.
You are responsible for providing information that is accurate and relevant to the treatment being considered, and for telling the clinic about material changes before treatment.
Where your surgeon, GP, consultant or another healthcare professional has given instructions or restrictions, those instructions take priority. The clinic may postpone, alter or decline treatment where additional advice is needed or where treatment is considered unsuitable or unsafe.
Medical concerns and emergencies
The Therapy Clinic does not provide emergency medical care and website information is not a substitute for diagnosis or urgent medical advice.
If you have severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, chest pain, difficulty breathing, sudden swelling, collapse, signs of serious infection or another urgent concern, seek appropriate medical attention rather than waiting for a clinic appointment.
Prices, deposits and payment
Current prices and deposit requirements are shown during booking or confirmed by the clinic before the appointment. Prices are controlled by The Therapy Clinic and may change for future bookings.
Online card payments are processed using Stripe. The clinic does not normally receive or store your full card number or card security code. The clinic does retain the payment status, amount, transaction reference and related booking information needed to manage the appointment.
Where a balance remains due, it must be paid at the time agreed with the clinic. Refunds, where applicable, will be handled in accordance with the booking terms and the circumstances of the cancellation or payment.
Cancellations, rescheduling and missed appointments
The notice period and any cancellation conditions applicable to a service will be shown during booking or otherwise confirmed before the appointment is secured.
Where insufficient notice is given, an appointment is missed, or the client does not attend, some or all of a deposit or treatment charge may be retained where that condition was made clear before booking.
The clinic may need to move or cancel an appointment because of illness, safety, operational issues or circumstances outside reasonable control. Where this happens, reasonable efforts will be made to offer another appointment and deal appropriately with any payment already made.
Late arrival and attendance
If you arrive late, the treatment may need to be shortened so later clients are not affected. The full fee may still apply where the booked time has been reserved for you.
The clinic may refuse, pause or stop treatment where treatment is unsafe or unsuitable, where required information has not been provided, or where behaviour towards the practitioner is threatening, abusive, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate. You may ask for treatment to stop at any time.
Results and expectations
Individual responses to treatment vary. No specific result, recovery time or outcome is guaranteed. Treatment descriptions, photographs, reviews and before-and-after information are illustrative and should not be treated as a promise of a particular result.
Website, booking system and client portal
The website is provided to give information about the clinic, allow enquiries and bookings, and provide secure client services. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with security, misuse another person's account or use the website unlawfully.
Client portal login details are personal to the client. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for contacting the clinic if you believe your account has been compromised.
Reasonable efforts are made to keep website information accurate and systems available, but temporary interruptions, maintenance or technical faults can occur.
Third-party services
The clinic uses external services where needed to operate the website and appointments, including Stripe for payments, Amazon SES for transactional email, AWS End User Messaging SMS for opted-in appointment texts and Google services for analytics and search-performance reporting. Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy arrangements for the services they provide.
Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the clinic's branding, written content, graphics, original photography and website materials belong to The Therapy Clinic or are used with permission. They must not be copied, republished or commercially reused without permission.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, the clinic is not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by a client, failure to follow medical or aftercare advice, or circumstances outside the clinic's reasonable control.
Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Information about analytics and cookies is in the Cookie Policy.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated when services, pricing, systems or legal requirements change. The version applicable to a booking is the version in force when the booking is made unless a change is required by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the courts that have jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.
